Exhibitions on Campus

The following exhibits will be open on campus throughout the weekend.

Textile and Costume Collection Highlights - Gutman Library

The Textile and Costume Collection at Philadelphia University represents the history of Philadelphia and American textile design over the centuries and much more. With holdings ranging from Coptic textiles of the 1st to 9th centuries and 20th century haute couture, the collection comprises an invaluable research and learning tool for students, scholars, and industry professionals.
The collection is housed in the Goldie Paley House, a 1955 Hollywood rancher designed by architect Earle Bolton, Jr. Known as The Design Center at Philadelphia University, this historic home houses both the Collection, curated exhibitions and student design shows, as well as classes.

With the Textile and Costume Collection, PhilaU students across the design disciplines have access to museum-quality garments, accessories, and textiles as sources of design inspiration for the modern-day design and product-development process.

Walk through the Design Center and enjoy some of the highlights of this beautiful collection.
