finding Philadelphia - Early Arrival Program

  • For students who want to get something more out of their orientation than just a schedule and working knowledge of the campus, we offer the opportunity to arrive the day before and participate in excursions to the City of Philadelphia. This "Finding Philadelphia" early-arrival allows new students the opportunity to explore Philadelphia - our extended campus - with peer leaders and other new students.  Students who would like to participate in this program should plan to arrive on campus at approximately 3:30pm the evening before the scheduled START session.
  • The $60 program fee includes admissions to a Center City Excursion and selected Manayunk Movie, dinner and breakfast, and an additional night in Ronson Halls.

Tentative "Finding Philadelphia" Schedule:

Time Program
3:30-4pm Check-in to Ronson Hall
4-4:30pm Group Meeting
4:30pm Dinner in Ravenhill Dining Hall
5:30pm Center City Excursion
8pm Free Time
9:30pm Movie Night at Manayunk Theater (optional)

NOTE:  While overnight accomodations are also available for guests during the Early Arrival program, there is no structured program for guests. Families and guests of new students are free to explore the city and nearby neighborhoods at their leisure.  Maps and dining suggestions will be provided.
