Thank you for your interest in being a START Leader! START Leaders are an extremely important in our efforts to support new students as they join the Philadelphia University community. The START Leader position is filled with many challenges and rewards. As a START Leader you will gain valuable experiences, build your resume, grow in your understanding of the complex issues that students are faced with, and learn more about yourself. Please take a moment to consider what you can bring to the position and what benefits you will gain from being a START Leader. The position can be challenging at times, with all the demands of prospective students looking to you for guidance and leadership. The most successful START Leaders are ones who truly value the experience of new students taking their first steps down a four-year or five-year path of enlightenment, self-discovery, and purpose. They take their responsibilities seriously, and meet each new challenge with a positive outlook and continuing enthusiasm.
This website contains a lot of information regarding the START Leader position and the application process, as well as some tips for preparing for the interview process.
Please note that a complete file including your application, a personal statement, and two references should be returned to Student Development Programs, located in the Kanbar Campus Center, suite 317 by Friday, Feb. 10, 201 at 5pm. If your application is not complete, or if you fail to complete both an individual interview and a group process, you may be disqualified from the selection process.
