Philadelphia University's Fashion Design program offers students a matchless introduction into the fast-paced, creative, and energetic fashion industry. Graduates of our program are globally recognized as team-oriented designers who understand the interrelationship between design, technology, production and business, and as individuals adept at innovatively answering the ever-changing needs of the fashion marketplace.
The PhilaU fashion programs are modeled on the fashion industry and immerse our students in the world of fashion. Our curriculum trains future fashion design professionals by learning through hands-on experience with the latest computerized design and production equipment while also building a strong foundation in design and technical courses.
PhilaU Fashion Design students also have opportunities to add an international dimension to their education by participating in our study abroad programs at international fashion centers like London and Rome or through and short courses in fashion centers around the world. Students studying overseas gain a cross-cultural experience while broadening their design skills, enabling them to strengthen their competitive edge in the global marketplace.
PhilaU alumni work as fashion professionals in all areas and levels of the fashion industry and our distinguished faculty have served as leaders in both the design and production sides of the fashion industry. With such a strong network of fashion expertise, our students routinely land coveted internships and start their careers in companies including Betsy Johnson, BCBG Maxazria, Donna Karan, Tommy Hilfiger, Urban Outfitters, and Vogue Magazine.
