INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH MISSION
The Office of Institutional
Research provides timely analysis
and information to support the
decision-making, planning, and
policy-formulation processes of the
University. The Office also serves
as the official external reporting
source of University statistics; as
such, the Office responds to
requests from external
constituencies for information and
statistics about the institution.
Goals:
- Provide decision-support
research and analysis to
facilitate the University's
planning process and associated
program review, accreditation,
benchmarking, and outcomes
assessment activities;
- Facilitate university-wide and
school-level assessment
processes;
- Provide data and interpretation
to external constituencies on
issues related to the
University;
- Provide advice to university
constituencies on matters of
strategic planning and
evaluation;
- Monitor national trends in
higher education;
- Develop and maintain an
annual research agenda to inform
recurring decision needs of the
institution;
- Oversee institutional
reporting in response to
questionnaires and other
non-routine requests for
information from state, federal,
and other external agencies;
- Perform additional
institutional research duties
that may become necessary to
further the goals of the
University.
