The online gradebook allows you to keep track of students grades for both online and offline assessments. It provides your students with the anytime, anywhere ability to check their progress in your course. Click here for a Blackboard document that explains the various icons used in the Gradebook. |
There are two ways to add items to your gradebook.
Grades from online assessments (tests, surveys) are automatically entered into the gradebook. While a survey isn't technically given a grade, a check mark will appear when the student has completed the survey. Grades for assignments are entered by the instructor during the grading process. These grades are then automatically transferred to the gradebook. |
Offline and online assessment grades can be changed through the same interface that you used to enter offline assessment grades. |
How do I weight grades when calculating the average? There are two ways to weight grades within the gradebook: by item, by category. |
How can I create a hard copy of my gradebook? You can make a hard copy of your gradebook at any time. To do this follow the instructions for Exporting Your Gradebook and then print the gradebook from within Microsoft Excel. It is recommended that you do this at the end of every semester and during the semester as often as you feel necessary. |
