Computer Labs Information

The Office of Information Resources provides a number of technology laboratories for both general purpose use and for academic instructional purposes

 

General Purpose Lab Schedule

During the Fall and Spring semester the Technology Laboratories operate along the following schedule. This schedule, along with most lab schedules, generally mirrors the library schedule which can be found here. For contact information for each lab please scroll down to the lab information table.

Logging in at the technology laboratory or on Podium computers.

As a student you should always log onto campus machines with:

Login: "student\YourUserName"
Password: YourPassword

As a faculty or staff member you should always log onto campus machines with

Login: "philacol\YourUserName"
Password: YourPassword

This will ensure that you are logged in properly and ensure your access to available network based resources.

 

If you are having trouble logging in please go to the Password Reset page and reset your password.

 

Logging off

To ensure the integrity of your information and work please be sure to log off of the system when you are finished.

On the PC:
Click the “Windows Pearl/Start” button.
Click the “Log off” button.
You will now be logged out.

On a Mac:
Click the “Apple” icon in the upper right of the screen.
Click “log out”. You will now be logged out.

 

Printing

Please visit one of our printing pages dedicated to students or faculty and staff. These pages explain how to print in the labs using your personal computer, as well as with the lab computers.


Where to get help for lab computers

If you run into an issue with a lab computer or hardware please notify the Technology Help Desk. Make sure to have the computer label (In white tape on the front of the computer) handy. During the repair time please use another available computer to complete your work.
