Getting Started with Blackboard
A Blackboard course site can be a helpful resource to support the instructional needs of your class. It can serve, in part, as a centralized resource from which course materials can be easily organized, stored and accessed. However, there are many other valuable elements to a Blackboard course site:
- Social Learning tools (Blogs, Discussion Boards, Wikis and Journals) and support for these tools within Groups
- Communication tools (Announcements, Class E-mail lists)
- Assessments (Assignments, Surveys, and Tests) and support for Self and Peer Assessment
- Electronic Grading and Calculation of Grades
- Evaluation of Student Performance including Early-Warning Alerts
Please look at the following document (Click Here) which will help you get acquainted with the Blackboard 9.1 system and the Course Environment.
