(through your internet service provider)

Internet Explorer 5 or above
v
a Philadelphia University network account and
password (if you have questions about your account, visit the Technology Help
Desk on the 2nd floor of Search Hall, send email to

Outcomes
This documentation will assist you in accessing the Gutman
Library research databases from off-campus locations. As of summer 2003, these directions replace
earlier published documents.
Step-by-step instructions
- To
search the library databases from off campus, direct your web browser to
the main page of the Gutman Library located at
http://www.philau.edu/library.
- Select
one of the databases from the drop-down menu in the middle of the
page. You will be directed to a login
page as seen below; enter your username and password as illustrated:

Click the Login button.
- The
initial search screen for your chosen database should appear. For searching tips, check the Library
web site at
http://www.PhilaU.edu/library or
call the reference desk at 215-951-2848.
Logging off
Simply close your web browser session by selecting “Close”
from the File menu.
