Jaideep T. Naidu is an assistant professor of Operations Management and Quantitative Methods. He joined Philadelphia University in 1998. He has a Ph.D. from The University of Mississippi. He has MBA and Bachelor of Engineering degrees from Osmania University, India. Since joining Philadelphia University, Jaideep has taught courses in Operations Management, Advanced Operations Management, Statistics, and Quantitative Methods in Decisions at the undergraduate and graduate level. Jaideep’s primary research interests are in the areas of Scheduling algorithms, combinatorial optimization, and heuristic programming. Jaideep’s research has been accepted or published in reputed journals such as Journal of the Operations Research Society, OMEGA, International Journal of Operations and Quantitative Management, and Academy of Information and Management Sciences Journal. In addition, he has presented his work at several academic conferences.
Cathy A. Rusinko has a Ph.D. in Management and Organization; an M.A. in Economics; and a B.A. in both Economics and English—all from Penn State University. Before joining the faculty at Philadelphia University, she taught at Penn State (University Park) and Villanova University. She has also worked at General Electric and the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. She teaches in undergraduate and graduate programs, and has taught principles of management; business policy and strategy; organizational behavior; and organizational communication. She does research on management of innovation and technology, and organizational change. She has published several articles and book chapters, and has been quoted on management issues in the national press, including The Washington Post and U.S. News and World Report. A recent article which appeared in the Schenectady Daily Gazette on Saturday, November 22, 2003 is one example (read the article). She was recently awarded a research grant from The National Textile Center to examine environmental sustainability in the carpet industry.
Khin (Jasmine) Aye Than received her BCom and MCom from the Rangoon Institute of Economics. She also has a BL degree from Rangoon University of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Than was awarded the Fulbright Scholarship to study at Wharton School of Business and received her MA in Accounting before transferring to Management to pursue a PhD in Management. At present, Dr. Than holds ABD status in Management. Professor Than has been involved in representing international women students’ issues and concerns at Penn during her student years and received the 1994-1995 Alice Paul Award. Jasmine Than's research interests include corporate social responsibility, business ethics and the role of NGOs in international business.
