AD ASTRA RESERVATIONS INFORMATION

Welcome to Philadelphia University’s Reservations Webpage! Beginning in the Fall of 2009, Philadelphia University will be using Ad Astra to facilitate its online reservations. All faculty, students and staff who wish to arrange space for meetings, events and extrra-curricular activites must use this system. Please note that reservation requests for classes will not be considered and are instead the responsibility of the Registrar's Office.

You can login to Ad Astra by clicking here or on the company's logo to the right of this page. A secondary window will open so that you may keep this window open for reference.

Upon login, you will be able to perform a number of tasks:

  • If you are looking to check the availability of a room click on “Schedules."
  • If you are looking to request a space click on “Request Events.”
  • If you are looking to view a room and/or room resources then click on “View Rooms.”

Data entry within Ad Astra may require the use of building codes; they are listed alphabetically for your benefit below:

EVENT TYPE DEFINITIONS:

Academic Event – Any event organized by an academic office or               department (School of Business, Architecture, etc.) that is not a meeting.

Administrative Event – Any event organized by an administrative office or department (Student Health, Financial Aid, etc.) that is not a meeting.

Extra-Curricular Event – Any event organized by a student club or organization (PhilaU Band, SGA, etc.) that is not a meeting

Gallery – Any gallery request for either Ted’s or Common Thread.

Maintenance – Any maintenance event (technology upgrade, cleaning, etc.)

Meeting – Any standard organizational gathering, typically not requiring operational preparation or special requests.

Testing - Any request for space to be utilized for academic testing purposes.

Vending – Any event utilizing the campus vending tables.

Again, it is important to note that Ad Astra is only to be use for room reservations. Requests of another nature must be handled with department responsible; some examples include:
