Extended Hours for the Reading Days and Final Exam Period Studios and labs will be open until 2 a.m. They will reopen at 7 a.m.* The Kanbar Center and the Gutman Library will also be open these extended hours to provide more access for students at the end of the semester. The dates for extended hours begin Monday, Dec. 7 through Thursday, Dec. 10 for next week. The following week, extended hours are in effect from Sunday, Dec. 13 through Thursday, Dec. 17. The two-person rule will be in effect; i.e., students may not be in a studio or lab space alone late into the morning hours. Please call 2999 if you have a problem accessing the facilities anytime between 7 a.m. and 2 a.m. *The computer lab in Search will not be open, but the computers in the Library will be available. Tuttleman Café Hours Extended The Tuttleman Café now offers extended hours of operation. It is now open until 8:30 p.m. Mon. through Thurs. for everyone’s convenience. PHILAU PARKING ANNOUNCEMENT Homecoming and Family Day begins Thurs., Oct. 2 and runs through Sun., Oct. 5. On Thurs. morning, Oct. 2, the University will be setting up tents for Homecoming/Family Day in the Ravenhill lot by the Athletic Field. All vehicles must be removed from the lots surrounding the Ravenhill athletics fields and relocated to the back lot. If a flyer is on your car this lot, it will need to be moved. All cars must be relocated by 4 p.m. on Wed., Oct. 1. Vehicles in the lot after that time risk being towed and being assessed the cost. If you are interested and unable to attend, please contact Melissa Samango samangom@philau.edu Male Volunteers Needed for LEHP Study The Laboratory for Engineered Human Protection (LEHP) is looking for male participants from the University community to participate in a series of human-comfort trials on prototype garments that are being produced for the U.S. Military. Volunteers should be between the ages of 18 and 40 with a height of 5’10” or 6’; have a 38” to 40” chest and 32” to 33” waist; be physically active; and be in good health. Sessions are expected to last between two and three hours, and participants will be compensated for their time.
