Welcome to the Office for Academic Affairs! We dedicate our
imagination and energy toward helping the faculty to make the Philadelphia
University experience for students the best it can possibility be, and we strive
to continuously improve what we do in that regard.
For more than a hundred and twenty years, Philadelphia University has been
recognized for its professional programs. Today, with our highly successful
model for comprehensive career-oriented/liberal arts education, the University’s
strength lies in its interdisciplinary, global programs which are technology
rich.
Philadelphia University’s faculty are our greatest resource, as they bring to
the classroom active professional lives that inform their teaching with
real-world knowledge and expertise. They also engage in leading edge research
and design projects that offer opportunities for students to work side-by-side
with their professors. The overarching goal of our faculty is to help students
become leaders in their professions.
In each of the University’s programs, the liberal arts and sciences have a key
role. They provide students with the tools the need to understand the social,
economic, political and environmental context of rapidly changing and
increasingly demanding professions and their responsibilities as citizens of the
world.
The history of this institution is one of responsive, innovative change but also
one that is focused on quality and a relentless attention to improving what we
offer. In an age where technological advances take place at breakneck speed,
indelibly altering the fabric of our lives, we continue to expand our leadership
position in a multitude of fields — thus ensuring that our students are prepared
for a successful life of continuous learning as they take their place as
productive members of a global society.
We invite you to explore our website for more information about our programs,
faculty and students, and are quite certain that as you learn more about us, you’ll
be as excited about our work here at Philadelphia University as we are.
