The Financial Aid Office is committed to educating students and their families in the best ways to fund their college education. Over 90 percent of our students receive aid in the form of grants, loans, campus employment and/or scholarships.
How to Apply for Financial Aid
1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). We will send you an application after you have applied to the University. You can also pick up the application at your high school, or fill out the FAFSA online (please follow instructions listed on their website at www.fafsa.ed.gov). Your application should be mailed in as soon as possible after January 1.
Make sure you list Philadelphia University's code on your application (#003354). You must complete a new FAFSA each year.
The deadline for applying for financial aid is April 15.
2. Soon after the FAFSA has been processed, both the student and Philadelphia University will receive the Student Aid Report (SAR) indicated if the application successfully was processed. If it has not, student's must correct their application as indicated on their SAR.
3. If the student has been accepted to the University, the Office of Financial Aid will determine their eligibility and award the student accordingly.
The student will receive a Financial Aid award letter approximately four weeks after you have filed the FAFSA.

International students applying for, or currently holding, student visas or any type of non-immigrant visa, are not eligible for Federal funds, including FEDERAL PELL, PHEAA, FEDERAL SEOG, PHILADELPHIA UNIVERSITY GRANT, FEDERAL PERKINS LOAN, FEDERAL WORK STUDY and the FEDERAL PLUS or FEDERAL STAFFORD LOAN.
