Biography
Hello all! My name is Meg Garvin, and I am a senior, fashion merchandising major at Phila U. I am still in disbelief that my college years are coming to an end, but I am excited for what lies ahead. Though my time here has flown by, I certainly made my years count by getting involved in many different activities including becoming a University Rambassador, a member of F.A.M.E. (Fashion Apparel Merchandising Experience), and as a fit model. However, my most memorable, life altering, incredibly amazing experience at Phila U was the time that I spent abroad in London last spring! Being able to learn in a different country definitely enriched my learning experience. I enjoy keeping busy, but in my spare time I like to run, shop, hang out with friends, and watch sports. Although I’m sure that this year will be as busy, if not busier than the rest, I am going to make sure to cherish my final days here at Phila U to make sure that they are as incredible as the preceding years.

Advice for students applying to college: No matter if you are considering study abroad, or not, and no matter what school you choose, inquire about their study abroad program and absolutely take advantage! You will not be the same person a few years down the road, so it is important to keep all options open. Take chances in the college decision process by visiting schools outside of your comfort zone. Most importantly, visit colleges and use all 5 senses along the tour to determine if it is the right fit.
