Merit Awards for Freshmen and Transfers
Merit-based faculty scholarships and faculty grants reward students for their academic success before attending Philadelphia University. Without regard to your financial need, these scholarships are awarded to new freshmen based on cumulative high school GPA and SAT or ACT scores.
- Freshmen awards range from $2,500 to $13,000 and are renewable for up to four years as a full-time student as long as your academic progress is satisfactory.
- Transfer student awards range from $1,500 to $9,000 per year and are based on all previous college level work.
All scholarships are renewable each year of full-time attendance provided you meet GPA requirements associated with the merit awards. To determine if you are eligible for one of these awards, please complete the Merit Award Card or call the Office of Admissions at 1.800.951.7287 or 215.951.2800 or send an email to Admissions@PhilaU.edu.
We offer many scholarships, some awarded before they start as a freshman and others available to current students based on success after their first year. Investigate these opportunities that help to make a Philadelphia University education more affordable.
