see Cezanne, but there were
many paintings of other artist which were
inspired by Cezanne’s work. It was George
Braque’s and
 Picasso’s
cubism and even some minimalist paintings from
contemporary artists. I was surprised by how
different people are inspired in so many
distinct ways and they all work in conveying a
particular message. After seeing that special
exhibition, I also took the time to see other
parts of the museum I had not before. I
absolutely loved the European and Contemporary
Art wings, and regret not having taken the time
to go there before. Oh! and when I was going
into the museum they told me students have free
admission, so that’s something to keep in mind!
Also, this weekend was all about moving all my
stuff out of my apartment and taking it to my
aunt’s house in New Jersey. Then, I had to come
back to PhilaU the next day so I could study
some more for my final test of the semester. So,
this time I’m showing you some photos so that
you can see what happens when I’m switching
trains for four hours and neither my Ipod or
cell phone have battery and meanwhile I’m
writing this!
Finally, the semester is coming to an end in the
next couple of days
 and
therefore this will be my last journal entry. I
hope that in one way or another, my weekly
experiences and thoughts have been beneficial in
understanding the simple (perhaps even boring)
life of a Dominican student in PhilaU. During my
time here in the US and Philadelphia University,
I’ve come to realize that life is really what
you make it and we are truly happy whenever we
come to terms with reality and decide to accept
things as they are. This time next year I will
be graduating and stepping into “the real
world,” so I’m not exactly sure what’ll happen
this summer, but this following months will
definitely be about learning new graphic design
software, researching companies and looking out
for inspiration… it will be the time to educate
myself in the hopes of accomplishing more
conceptual designs during my senior year.
Have an amazing summer!
