The first few days of classes evoke the same bittersweet feeling I experienced every January up to this point. New classes begin, new piles of work surmount, new information pours from the lips of professors. I’m not sure if my mind absorbs this information at the very beginning, but eventually the blood will return back to my brain and I’ll be fully functioning.

The three day weekend was a nice break from the three days of classes. Some opportunity to finish some projects I had been working on: a presentation for FBD, portfolio, laundry, etc. Sadly, my Philadelphia Eagles ended their season on a low note, losing to the Arizona Cardinals. While I am slightly disappointed in their overall performance, I am excited for the Cardinals, since they have not seen a championship in a bajillion years. Good luck against the Steelers. This semester is a very interesting one and I am anticipating one of the most demanding but most reward semesters thus far. Two of my core classes, Design V and Tech III, focus exclusively on sustainability and present students to seriously consider the impact of the built environment on the natural environment, local and global economies and societies I am often critical of the word
