INFO ABOUT TRANSFERING CREDITS

Below, prospective transfer students find some general information about transferring credits:

  • Questions about previously completed courses or coursework in progress can be answered by a transfer counselor. Having transferable coursework does not guarantee admission to the University. Official credit evaluations are completed after a student is admitted.
  • College-level courses with a C- or better from a regionally accredited college or university are eligible for transfer credit. Pass/fail courses are not transferable.
  • One of our transfer counselors would be happy to assist you in selecting courses at your current institution.
  • A minimum of 60 credits must be completed at Philadelphia University.
  • Courses are highly sequential in a number of academic programs. Therefore, some students (especially design) may take up to four years (five years for BArch and BLA) to complete a sequence. Please speak with a transfer counselor or academic advisor about the length of your program.
