How many transfer students attend Philadelphia University?
A full 20% of our student body comprises transfer students from across the country and around the world.
How many credits do I need to apply as a transfer student?
Transfer applicants may apply with any number of pre-existing credits, whether it is one semester of credits to an Associate Degree or beyond.
Which of my courses will transfer?
Courses with a C- or higher from a regionally accredited college or university are eligible for credit transfer that meet a course equivalency or elective space within your program. Pass/Fail coursework is not transferrable. Philadelphia University accepts a maximum of 60 credits from previously-attended accredited institutions. Obtain an unofficial credit evaluation now! Contact your transfer counselor.
How long will it take me to complete my degree?
Courses are highly sequential in a number of academic programs. Therefore, some students (especially design) may take up to four years (five years for BArch and BLA) to complete a sequence. Please speak with a transfer counselor about the length of your program. A minimum of 60 credits must be completed at Philadelphia University to complete your degree.
Do you accept credits from my previous college or university?
We accept credits from Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and other regionally accredited institutions.
