What do you love most about the people at PhilaU?

I love how motivated, different, creative, involved and inspirational my PhilaU friends are. They are always trying to do something to better themselves and our university as well as find ways to use all the resources provided to them to further their career paths. We work first, long and hard, then play with the same amount of energy! We have a good balance of our important priorities and our social lives.

What do you love about the PhilaU campus?

I just love sitting outside on the picnic benches outside of Kanbar; it’s a perfect location for lounging on a sunny day. It’s a perfect place because what it is at the center of PhilaU and whenever I’m there I’m bound to run into friends and strike up a conversation.

I love going to relax by the fountain outside the Reichlin House in the late afternoon or evening - it is my favorite place on campus. This spot provides enough sun for a tan but enough shade to be cool and it’s right next to Kanbar just in case I want a snack. I get to watch people pass by, play games and even catch up on some work and reading.

I love the Kanbar Campus Center, especially being in the living room around sundown, it’s when campus begins to calm and quiet down and it’s a great place to chill out after dinner or when you finish your evening classes.

What happens in your perfect day as a PhilaU student?

The perfect "day in the life" for me would be a sunny spring day hanging out on the lawn in front of the library then taking a walk down Main Street in Manayunk to visit one of the many restaurants.

A perfect day at PhilaU would be getting up and going to The Gallagher Center for a quick workout, then stopping at Kanbar for a coffee. In between classes, I always have lunch at Kanbar on the outside tables or grassy area. Later, I would go to a meditation session at Kanbar in the evening, and then end the day with a quick train ride into Center City Philadelphia to see a concert.
