My experience includes nearly thirty years of progressive professional experience in historic preservation involving preparation of historical research, historic structure reports, and feasibility studies directed toward restoration, preservation, and adaptive reuse of 18th through early 20th century American buildings in rural, suburban and urban environments. Because much of this work was for institutional clients and governmental agencies, nearly all of it is consistent with the policies and procedures contained in The Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, The Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Rehabilitation, and The Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Historic Preservation. My experience also includes preparation of architectural construction documents and construction administration for many of the projects whose scope was determined by my research, and presenting the results of that research and architectural work to clients and regulatory agencies.
