Lisa Phillips began teaching as an adjunct professor in 2001/2002 in the College of Media Arts and Design at Drexel University and the School of Architecture at Philadelphia University. She was an instructor at both institutions until she joined the Interior Design Department at Philadelphia University full time in 2007 as a Visiting Assistant Professor. Her main focus has been computer technology but she has also taught hand drafting, design studios at all levels and capstone research and programming.

Lisa has worked in the field of architecture and interior design since 1993, primarily designing healthcare related facilities. She is NCIDQ certified and maintains an office presence in the firm Phillips + Associates Architects as a designer. She is a member of the International Interior Design Association and the Interior Design Legislative Coalition of Pennsylvania.

Lisa is currently coordinating sophomore, junior and senior design studios. One of her many recent endeavors include a biennial study abroad short course to Rome, Italy, which she developed and continues to lead. Lisa is also passionate about service projects and she has organized several, hands-on learning opportunities to encourage students to work with real clients and budgets while strengthening ties with local communities.
