Kathleen Abplanalp is an independent historic preservation consultant based in the Philadelphia area. Dr. Abplanalp, who has a Ph.D. in American history with a concentration in material culture, focuses her practice on the management of cultural resources. Her work experience includes drafting historic district nominations, historical and architectural surveys, and Historic Structures Reports. Dr. Abplanalp is Vice Chair of the Lower Merion Historical Architectural Review Board and has been active in many preservation-initiatives aimed at protecting historic resources.
