GUY GEIER

GUY GEIER is an architect and interior designer with over 30 years of experience in the design and management of corporate and institutional projects, Guy is Managing Partner of FXFOWLE Architects as well as leader of the firm's Corporate and Interior Design practice. A strong proponent of the value design plays in creating a healthy and productive workplace, Guy focuses on developing spaces that reflect a client’s mission and current program, while anticipating future needs. Guy received both his Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Masters of Architecture from the University of Virginia, where he is also Chair of the Dean's Advisory Board and a member of The Raven Society.

STEFAN BEHNISCH

STEFAN BEHNISCH studied philosophy and economics in Munich, and then architecture at the Technical University of Karlsruhe. After receiving his diploma in 1987, he worked as an architect in Behnisch & Partner before establishing his own practice, Behnisch Architekten, in 1989, together with his father Professor Günter Behnisch. In the following years, he founded additional branch offices of Behnisch Architekten in Los Angeles, Boston and Munich. Stefan Behnisch has held several teaching positions: the Eero Saarinen Chair Visiting Professor at Yale School of Architecture; the Miller Visiting Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia; the Harry W. Porter Jr. Visiting Professor at the University of Virginia School of Architecture; and he is currently a visiting Professor at the École Polytechnique Fédérale in Lausanne (EPLF). He is a BDA, RIBA and AIA member, an NCARB certified architect, and an AIA Honorary Fellow.

ADAM D. TIHANY

ADAM D. TIHANY is widely regarded as one of the world’s preeminent hospitality designers. After attending the Politecnico di Milano- School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tihany apprenticed in renowned design firms in Italy. In 1978 he established his own multidisciplinary New York studio that encompassed all aspects of design – from commercial and residential interiors to furniture, products, exhibitions, and graphics. Over the last thirty years, Tihany Design has become the leading expert in creating luxurious and innovative interiors in the vibrant world of hospitality. Tihany is an educator and frequent lecturer in conferences and universities around the world. His outstanding contribution to the world of design has been recognized with numerous honors and awards including an Honorary Doctorate from the New York School of Interior Design. He was named Bon Appetit’s Designer of the Year in 2001, Who’s Who in Food and Beverage in the United States by The James Beard Foundation in 1997, and inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame in 1991.

HANSJORG GORITZ

HANSJÖRG GÖRITZ is an architect, professor, author and designer associated with pure and minimalist architecture with an emphasis on place, space, light and material. Göritz apprenticed as a mason before studying architecture at Hildesheim University of Applied Arts and Sciences, and at the London Architectural Association School of Architecture. He has practiced with his own firm, HansjörgGöritzArchitekturstudios in Hannover since 1986, and in Berlin since 2007. He has taught architecture at Hildesheim University of Applied Sciences and Arts, at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts and is currently a professor at the University of Tennessee, College of Architecture and Design in Knoxville, Tennessee. His design for Liechtenstein's state forum and parliament buildings was awarded the international Brick Award 2010. For his early works he was awarded one of the most prestigious architecture awards in Germany in 1996, the Promotional Award Baukunst to the Kunstpreis Berlin by the Berlin Academy of Arts. In 2012 he was recognized as an Affiliated Fellow to the American Academy in Rome.

STEVE NOBEL

STEVE NOBEL is the founder and principal of NOBELINKS, a consulting practice specializing in the luxury markets for home furnishings and interior design, worldwide. His capabilities include strategic planning for market creation and development, penetration enhancement and channel/distribution expansion, and overall consulting on brand building. A respected leader in the home furnishings market for over 25 years, Steve has held executive positions in marketing, planning strategic growth, manufacturing and licensing. He was an owner and president of The John Widdicomb Company, maker and marketer of fine furniture worldwide including such significant licensed collections as Mario Buatta and Jacques Grange.

LAURIE D. OLIN

LAURIE D. OLIN is a distinguished teacher, author and one of the most renowned landscape architects practicing today at his firm OLIN with studios in Philadelphia and Los Angeles. He studied civil engineering at the University of Alaska and pursued architecture at the University of Washington where he was encoureged to focus on landscape. He is currently Practice Professor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania where he has taught for 40 years. He is a fellow at both the American Academy of Arts and the American Society of Landscape Architects from whom he received the ASLA Medal, the highest award for a landscape architect. Some his firm’s signature projects include the Washington Monument Grounds in DC, Bryant Park in New York and the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia.
