A career in engineering
is both exciting and rewarding! I know since I have been a practicing
engineer for almost 30 years after graduating as a textile engineer
in 1971.Textile engineering
- what is it?
It's a field of engineering where one can practice a wide range
of activities that benefit society and is both personally and
professionally rewarding. Textile engineers develop and produce
products that go into consumer goods and a wide range of high
performance systems such as life-saving artificial arteries and
other biomedical devices, aerospace fibrous composites, automotive
products, and protective clothing for the military, law enforcement
officers, and rigorous outdoor activities.
Since 1884
Philadelphia University
has been a world leader in educating textile engineers and I would
like you to take some time to visit the rest of this web site
to learn more about becoming a textile engineer. At Philadelphia
University we offer a unique and personalized educational opportunity
where our professors teach and advise students in an environment
that offers modern engineering laboratories and classrooms. From
the freshman year to career placement or preparation for graduate
school education, they are highly motivated to work with our textile
engineering students.
The final bonus comes
when our textile engineering graduates seek employment. Career
opportunities, local, national and international, are plentiful
and very financially rewarding; they generally far exceed the
number of our graduates each year.
