  1. When will my student account statement be available? Statements will be generated and mailed the 1st week of July for the upcoming fall semester.

  2. When is my payment for tuition and fees (including room and board) due? The payment due date for the upcoming fall semester is July 27, 2008.

  3. What forms of payment are accepted? You may pay your balance with a personal or certified check, money order, cash (in person only), VISA or MasterCard. To make a payment via telephone using VISA or MasterCard, call the Student Accounts Office at 215-951-5988 and select option #1 for the bill payment line.

  4. Can I pay my bill online? Yes. For your convenience, payments are accepted online via WebAdvisor. You may access WebAdvisor at www.PhilaU.edu/WebAdvisor. Follow the instructions for ‘Make a Payment.’ VISA and MasterCard are accepted. ACH payments are not accepted. Logon ID questions should be directed to the Office of Information Technology at 215-951-4OIT or helpdesk@PhilaU.edu.

  5. What happens if I cannot pay my account balance by the payment due date? If you are having difficulty paying your student account balance, please contact the Student Accounts Office immediately. We will review your account and work with you to explore all payment options.

  6. Is there a monthly payment plan? Yes. Philadelphia University offers a deferred payment option through Tuition Management Systems (TMS). The monthly payment option begins July 15, 2008 and ends April 15, 2009 (10 payments) for the 2008-2009 academic year. The enrollment fee is $60.00. Life insurance covering the interest-free monthly payment plan is included, at no additional cost.

  7. Why isn’t my resident security deposit on my student account statement? The University holds your resident security deposit until you are no longer a resident student. Upon leaving campus residency or graduation, your security deposit will be applied to any outstanding balance on your student account. Any remaining eligible amount will be refunded to you.

  8. May I cash personal checks on campus? You may cash personal checks up to $100.00 at the Cashier’s Office during posted hours. You must present your valid student ID.

  9. What is my campus card and how may I use it? Your campus card is your student ID and allows you access to your meal plan, the library, vending machines, copiers, campus store, health center and mail services. You may deposit funds in person at the Cashier’s Office, over the phone by calling the Student Accounts Office or online at https://campuscard.philau.edu. Funds are available immediately when deposited online.

  10. Does the University offer health insurance? You are required to have health insurance coverage through a family plan, individual plan or the University-sponsored health and accident plan. The University is partnered with Academic Health Plans for the student health and accident insurance. The 2007-2008 policy begins 8/22/07 and ends 8/21/08. The 2007-2008 premium is $499.00.

  11. How do I receive my student work-study funds? Student payroll is available every other Friday. Checks are available for pick-up at the Cashier’s Office during posted hours. Direct deposit is also available.
