The School of Business Administration at Philadelphia University is committed to the development of students with the skills to operate in the global environment of modern businesses. These skills are predicated on the integration of general education, education in the functional areas of business, and education in and around a specialty within a field of business. In each of a student’s four years of study, aspects of all three components are studied. For example, while the freshman year is dominated by general education in areas such as science, mathematics and the humanities, students also begin their study of the functional areas of business and, in some cases, their specialty studies.
