On Campus Recruiting
Employers can schedule a date during our fall and/or spring semesters to interview students on campus for full-time or internship opportunities. Employers can take advantage of our new state of the art Kanbar Campus Center comprised of four interview rooms and a classroom to hold information sessions/presentations.
On Campus Recruiting in the Fall 2008 is from September 30th – November 19th.
Steps to schedule on campus interviews:
- 1. Contact Amy Slivinski at slivinskia@philau.edu to schedule a date.
2. Although job postings are typically posted by the employer, on campus interviews are set up by the Career Services Office. In order to set up the on campus interviews, please send the following information to Amy.
Job Description
Length of the interviews (typically 30 minutes)
Time of interviews (typically scheduled form 9-5pm)
# of recruiters conducting the interviews
Year of students who are eglible to sign up for the interview (aka, sophomores, juniors only, etc)
Work authorization
3. Amy will contact the employer and confirm the resume deadline, pre-select date (date when employers must select the students they want to interview), and final interview date.
- 4. Finally employers are asked to record an employer podcasts. Podcasts, which take about 15 minutes to record over the phone, highlight your organization and also could highlight a particular career path. For example, on 2 separate podcasts, one of your managers could discuss what their average day is like while the recruiting manager could discuss the culture of the organization. Our podcasts are a great way to reach the Millennium Generation and establish a presence on campus. Also they are a great way to share information about your company before the interview. Podcasts are uploaded on the Career Services website and students can listen to them or download them onto their IPOD. We already have a script of questions
