What Can I Do With a Major In...?

On this page, you will find links to resources we call majors worksheets.

Majors Worksheets are one-page sheets that supply brief descriptions of each of the majors here at PhilaU and typical as well as atypical career paths associated with each.

Most job titles originate from Career Update surveys that are sent and collected from each graduating class of students.  This means that the information you will find on these pages relates to what recent alums have pursued and secured after they've left school. The career paths, however, are only a small portion of the possibilities that exist in each industry.

Use these sheets to:

  • Clarify Your Career Path in Your Major: Research traditional and nontraditional career paths that are associated with your major. Which seem to be the most compatible choices when you think about your interests, values and skills?

  • Assist You in Choosing a Major: Evalute a number of majors you might be considering.  Which offers the most interesting sounding jobs that you'd like to investigate further?

  • Begin Researching Employers in Your Industry: Research potential employers where you might want to apply (for a full-time or internship experience).
