If a student is interested in completing an internship, they are encouraged to follow the steps below:
1. Students should first determine if they are interested in and eligible to pursue an internship for credit. Undergraduate and graduate students should consult with their academic advisor to confirm eligibility.
2. All students (whether pursuing an internship for credit or otherwise) should have an approved resume posted to CareerLink. For assistance with drafting or updating resumes, students are encouraged to review the information provide on the Career Services website under Career Tools and Links and/or schedule an appointment with a career counselor to have it critiqued.
3. Students should then obtain and submit a Student Application form to Career Services, and schedule an appointment with Career Services to discuss internship requirements, search process, and resources by calling (215) 951-2930.
Please note that it is strongly advised that all students meet with a counselor in the Career Services Center and attend Career Center sponsored workshops in preparation for the internship search.
If a student already has an internship offer from a company, and would like to have that internship reviewed for credit, he/she should call to schedule an appointment with a Career Services staff member to review the internship for-credit process and receive all applicable paperwork and related materials for completion.
Complete student internship checklists, required forms, and other related materials are available in the Career Services Center, Kanbar Campus Center Suite 313.
