Purpose of the Community

A place to “showcase and discover the latest work by creative professionals across industries” (as described by, the Adobe company whose platform powers our community), affords you the opportunity to exhibit your work on an easy-to-use, industry-accepted and socially-connected site that can be used as an online extension of your professional portfolio, visible to potential employers, peers and future PhilaU students.

University Guidance

We encourage all students to create PhilaU Design Portfolio accounts, though it is not a curricular requirement. Maintaining a presence on PhilaU’s Design Community website is a way to share work — beyond personal websites and social media— that is quickly becoming an industry standard for design professionals. Our community site will seamlessly connect with LinkedIn (via a “creative portfolio display” application) to assist recent graduates and alumni to present a comprehensive professional presence to employers.  Work uploaded to the PhilaU Design Portfolios community will also be visible to’s more than two million members!

It is not the only e-portfolio solution hosted by the University and OIR is not responsible for its administration.
