How to Add a Link
It is fairly simple to add a link within Cascade’s WYSIWYG editor. Follow the steps below to learn how to add a link to your page.
- In edit mode, highlight the word, image or series of words you would like to turn into a link.
- Click the Insert/Edit Link button. This button looks like a chain.
- If you would like to link to a page within philau.edu, select the internal radio link. If you would like to link to a page outside of philau.edu, select the external radio button.
- I’ll go over the process of linking to an internal page first.
Create an Internal Link
- To link to an internal philau link, have internal selected, then click on Search.
- Click Browse.
- Select the page you would like to use as a link.
- If the page is outside of the philau site you are currently working on, click on the dropdown in the top-right side of the page and browse to the desired site.
- Select your desired page from the listing on the left.
- Click Confirm.
- Click Insert.
- You’ve now created an internal link.
Create an External Link
- To create an external link, highlight the word, image or series of words you would like to turn into a link.
- Click the Insert/Edit link button.
- Select the External radio button.
- Type or paste in the address of your external link, for this example I am using the address of www.google.com
- If you are pasting in a link, be sure to delete the HTTP:// before doing so.
- Click Insert.
