Getting help

Important: Classroom telephones are located inside the podium cabinet.

For assistance, please call the OIT front desk at x2645.

  4. Now touch the appropriate button on the left side of the screen, under "SOURCES"

Lighting

All the lights in the room, both fluorescent and incandescent, are dimmable from the sliders on the wall (usually next to the podium). In general, you should dim at least the lights above the projection screen if you are projecting any data or video image.

Projection screen

In many rooms, the projection screen will automatically roll up and down when the A/V system is started or stopped. You can manually raise or lower the projection screen with the UP, DOWN, and STOP buttons on the wall by the screen.

Audio

At any time, you can touch the AUDIO button at the top of the touchscreen to access volume controls. Select mute or press the arrow keys for volume up and down.

Document camera / Overhead projector

  2. Open the drawer and pull out the "doc cam." Unfold the projector head and the two side lamps. Raise projector head to full height for best focus.
  3. Flip the power button on at the front left side of the unit.
  4. At the front of the unit, press "base lamp" for transparencies or "top lamp" for opaque objects.
  5. Press buttons at front to focus or zoom. The best way to focus is to use the ZOOM "tele" button to zoom in as far as possible. Then adjust focus in the close-up and ZOOM wide to return to the best size. Remember that this video camera may not have the definition you're used to with an overhead projector, but it's much more versatile.
