Off Campus Housing Options

Thank you for your interest in helping Philadelphia University provide off-campus housing options for our students.  In order to promote your vacancy you may send us an advertisement or fill out this form or send us a detaile advertisement about your available housing option(s). 

To provide the best customer service and support to our students, we require that landlords follow these guidelines:

  1. Please supply a Housing Rental License.  Unfortunately, without this documentation, we will not be able to offer your housing opportunity.  Please send us a copy as soon as possible (email, fax, or drop-off).  If you do not currently have a Housing Rental License, you can apply for one HERE.
  2. If your housing opportunity falls within the Fourth Council Educational Housing District ( East Falls, Roxborough, Manayunk, West Allegheny, West Philadelphia (north of Market   Street), Overbrook Farms and Wynnefield), you must abide by theEducational District Act (Bill #020482).  This ordinance limits the amount of unrelated individuals that can live in a single dwelling. If you are unsure if your listing falls within this district, you may look it up HERE.  According to pg. 7 of this law:

“No student may live in an Educational Housing District in any dwelling which is in violation of the Zoning Code, including any dwelling in which more than three unrelated persons are living as a single household unit without a valid use registration permit. “


Once we receive a copy of your Housing Rental License we will place your listing in our local off-campus housing binder that students view when looking for off-campus housing.  You can also post your opening on  It’s a bit like Craigslist, but geared more towards colleges and universities.
