BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Moving from introductory material in networking and programming through applications in web development and database management, the Information Technology major emphasizes the role of the IT manager in needs assessment and project management. Responding to the expectations of modern workplaces for technologies that are integrated with the needs and responsibilities of employees, the program culminates in an applied internship.

This program is intended for adults who have a base of 60 credits to apply to their BS degrees. These credits are acquired through block transfer of credits from previously attended, accredited colleges and universities and/or credits earned by taking courses at Philadelphia University and/or credits earned for lifelong learning experiences (i.e. professional, personal, educational) that are granted by faculty after compilation and submission of a directed portfolio. Credits must include college-level courses in Writing, Math, Scientific Reasoning, History, Social Science, Humanities and Information Systems.
(Please note: Information Systems training or coursework required within 5 years of enrollment in the program.)
