Instead, take advantage of the academic partnerships that exist between Philadelphia University's Office of Continuing & Professional Studies and some of the area's community colleges. These partnerships have been created to assure you that a smooth transition into our Accelerated Bachelor of Science Degree Completion Program is more than possible. It can become a reality.
Students who complete any associate degree at Bucks County Community College (BCCC), Camden County College (CCC), Community College of Philadelphia (CCP), Delaware County Community College (DCCC), Mercer County Community College (MCCC) or
Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) are assured third-year status in Philadelphia University's Continuing & Professional Studies
Accelerated Degree Completion Program. This program consists of nine majors offered in the evening on an 8-week accelerated basis: Behavioral and Health Services, Health Sciences, Health Services Management, Human Resource Management, Information Technology, Law Enforcement Leadership, Leadership in Emergency Services, Organizational Leadership and Pre-MBA.
Students must meet the following criteria:
- complete any associate degree program and achieve a final grade point average of at least 2.00
- earn at least a grade of C- or higher in order for a course to transfer
- complete an application for admission, submit a personal statement and resume, and complete an admissions interview
- follow the registration procedures and schedule for tuition payment that apply to other entering students at Philadelphia University
- enroll at Philadelphia University within three years after graduation from one of the community colleges listed above
- earn a minimum of 33 credits at Philadelphia University
- have the $35.00 application fee waived*
- have the opportunity to take and transfer a minimum of 72 credits at your community college
- have an opportunity to earn academic credits for prior learning
- possibly qualify for an academic scholarship*

PHILADELPHIA UNIVERSITY'S ACCELERATED SCHOLARS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Office of Continuing and Professional Studies believes in rewarding adult learners who have achieved academic success in their previous college-level course work. If you are a graduate of one of our partner community colleges who has earned a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 - 4.0, then you qualify for a scholarship of 25% per credit at Philadelphia University. Students who graduate with a GPA of 3.0 - 3.49 qualify for a scholarship of 20% per credit.
Listed below are the specific requirements:
- graduate from a partner community college (listed above) with an associate degree
- apply, be accepted and enroll in Philadelphia University's Accelerated Bachelor of Science Degree Completion Program within three years of graduation from a partner community college.
- maintain a GPA of at least a 3.0 while enrolled at Philadelphia University
- once enrolled at Philadelphia University, students are not permitted to take courses at other institutions without the written permission from the Director of Student Services in Philadelphia University's Office of Continuing and Professional Studies
- sign a scholarship agreement that acknowledges a clear understanding of the regulations listed above
