In this Program, the emphasis is on your academic and personal success and the limitless possibilities the future will offer. This Program accommodates a wide variety in interests and offers comprehensive preparation for many career options.
A student in the accelerated degree completion program can choose a major in one of the following seven areas.
Behavioral and Health Services
>>
Targeting the needs of current day healthcare providers who work in a variety of professional environments—particularly those students interested in completing their B.S. degrees for entry in master’s programs such as the M.S. in Occupational Therapy—this program provides a basis in studies in developmental, organizational, abnormal, and counseling psychology .It concludes with a survey course in behavioral health and neurorehabilitation, followed by an applied course in the same content. Students complete an in-depth work-based project focusing on the applications of behavioral health and neurorehabilitation in a specific professional environment.
Health Services Management

Building on the strengths of the University’s
tradition of educating registered nurses, certified
occupational therapy assistants (COTAs), and a
variety of other health service professionals, the
Health Services Management major is intended for
professionals who wish to enhance their clinical
expertise with studies in health policy and health
delivery systems. The Health Services Management
concentration focuses on those who aspire to
management and leadership positions that combine
their clinical expertise with a familiarity with the
key treads and stakeholders impacting the
contemporary health care system in the U.S.A
capstone seminar course allows students to apply
their familiarity with public policy and delivery
systems in a project focusing on a specific sector
or organization associated with the health care
industry.
Health Sciences >>
The Health Sciences
curriculum provides individuals with the necessary
background and skills to work in noncredential-driven
health-career positions, as well as providing
prerequisite coursework required for application to
graduate programs in a variety of allied health
professions. Students who are pursuing admission to
graduate programs in allied health, such as Midwifery, Occupational Therapy, Physical
Therapy or Physician
Assistant Studies, will need to complete Anatomy
and Physiology II and will be advised to select that
course as one of their five required major option
courses.
Other students may select any five of the six
courses that are offered.
Human Resource Management

The standards for professionals in human resource
management, articulated by the professional
organization governing the field, constitute a
primary focus for developing competencies associated
with the Human Resource Management program. Our
program culminates in a portfolio based project
emphasizing the compilation of an advanced plan for
human resource development in an organization
applicable to the students’ defined area of
professional practice.
Information Technology
>>
Moving from introductory material in networking and
programming through applications in web development
and database management, the Information Technology
major also emphasizes the role of the IT manager in
needs assessment and project management. Responding
to the expectations of modern workplaces for
technologies that are integrated with the needs and
responsibilities of employees, the program
culminates in an applied internship.
Law Enforcement Leadership >>
The Law Enforcement Leadership curriculum provides background and skills for leaders in police and other law-enforcement agencies. Students will learn how to handle crime analyses, as well as larger policing-management issues. This program provides law-enforcement leaders and potential law leaders with the knowledge necessary to pursue a supervisory and/or management career in law enforcement. Courses in law-enforcement planning, crime analysis, contemporary policing and advanced police management are included in the major. Students will also complete a real-world leadership project as a capstone experience.
Leadership in Emergency Services >>
The
Leadership in Emergency Services curriculum provides
necessary background and skills for providers in
fire, rescue, public safety, and Emergency Medical
Services fields to grow into leadership positions.
This program provides leaders, and potential
leaders, with the knowledge necessary to pursue a
supervisory and/or management career in one of the
many emergency services agencies. This program
provides a strong linkage to Philadelphia
University’s Master of Science degree in Disaster and Medical
Management.
Organizational Leadership
>>
This program builds upon the skills required for
successful entry into and promotion within a variety
of business and career related fields. In addition
to developing effective oral, written and
interpersonal communication skills, students will
articulate an understanding of organizations,
including cross cultural communication, demonstrate
knowledge of the basic business function of
organizations and attain computer literacy and
proficiency.
Pre-MBA
>>
This program is best suited for students interested
in continuing their studies at the graduate level in
the Philadelphia University School of Business
Administration’s MBA program. In this degree
program, students complete a range of MBA foundation
courses in conjunction with the requirements needed
to acquire a B.S. degree.
