Camp EdVenture Bootcamp

Come join us for an interactive day of exploring course design, active learning and assessment ideas to bring back to your classroom. This will be a place to stretch your imagination, consider new and engaging techniques, and learn more about the power of technologies that supports the learner experience.

Throughout the day, you will:

  • utilize backward design when constructing or revising your courses,
  • embed assessment tools to quantify students' learning outcomes,
  • apply pedagogical tools for engaging students in active, collaborative, authentic learning, and
  • employ technology tools, including Blackboard, that support the above strategies and tools

Who Should Attend?

Camp EdVenture is open to any full or part time faculty member, staff member, or graduate student employed or attending Philadelphia University and/or Thomas Jefferson University. 

Program Format:

Camp EdVenture begins at 8:30 AM and concludes at 3:00 PM on Friday, August 2, 2019.  It consists of:

  • 3 45-Minute Morning Sessions
  • Lunch/Social Hour
  • Afternoon Technology Sessions to Support Learning

Registration is free and open to all faculty (part and full time), staff, and graduate students of Philadelphia University and/or Thomas Jefferson University. Register by Friday, July 28, 2018. Registration includes all sessions, light breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks and beverages.

Registration will open in late spring 2019.

Jefferson University East Falls Campus, situated in the beautiful residential area of East Falls within the city limits of Philadelphia, will host Camp EdAventure. You may park in the parking lot adjacent to the Tuttleman Center.

Check-in and light breakfast will begin at 8:30 am in Tuttleman Center Room 209.
