INFORMATION FOR ALUMNI

Philadelphia University held its first-ever, campus-wide Day of Service on Oct. 1, 2008, to kick off the inauguration of President Stephen Spinelli Jr., Ph.D. More than 1,400 Philadelphia University faculty, staff and students participated in the event, totaling more than 4,700 community service hours.

This year Philadelphia University would like to extend the invitation to alumni. There are several ways to get involved as a member of the alumni community in Day of Service:

  • If you are in the Philadelphia area, sign up as an individual volunteer and be part of a service project with faculty, staff, students and other alumni in the Philadelphia area. These service projects will take place during the day on Tuesday, Sept. 15. Interested?

Those who have not registered and/or been assigned a volunteer service project should go to the registration table Tuesday, Sept. 15 morning to be placed in a project. The registration table will be located on the patio outside of the Kanbar Campus Center Living Room.

  • If you live in the Philadelphia area and would like to create a service project during the month of September (outside of the dedicated University Day of Service during the day on Tuesday, Sept. 15), organize a group of alumni and friends!
  • If you live outside of the Philadelphia area and would like to create a service project in your city/community to be part of Philadelphia University’s Day of Service, organize a group of alumni and friends!
