We are glad you are interested in growing Philadelphia University’s Day of Service!

The campus community will participate in Day of Service activities on Tuesday, Sept. 27 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

There are two ways Philadelphia University alumni can get involved in Day of Service activities.

1. Be part of Day of Service campus activities in Philadelphia.
   
   Day of Service is a great way to have fun with students, faculty, staff and fellow alumni, and give back to the community. Projects range from city clean up and beautification, to reading to elementary school children, to knitting scarves and sewing pillowcases, among many others. Check out some of the projects from previous years.
   
   If you are in the Philadelphia area and would like to participate in a Day of Service project that will be held between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesday Sept. 27, please register online and indicate you are a member of the alumni community. If you require special assistance and have special physical needs that should be taken into consideration when matching a project, please make sure you indicate that information.
   
   Volunteers will be notified by email a week prior to Day of Service. Information provided to you will include the name of your Project Leader, contact information, the project name and location, a start time and the length of time your project will take. The Project Leader will also be in contact with you to notify you when and where to meet on the Day of Service.



2. Create your own service project in your community/city.
   
   Whether you live in Philadelphia, New York or San Francisco, and every community in between and beyond, you can create a service project to be part of Philadelphia University’s Day of Service. Your project can take place at any point during the month of September.
   

   If you would like to create a project in your community, the Philadelphia University Office of Development and Alumni Relations will help connect you with other alumni in your area to participate in your service project.

   To create a service project for Day of Service, please complete the Project Proposal Form and contact the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at alumni@PhilaU.edu or 215-951-2929.

   If you are planning a Day of Service project, please take pictures during your service event and send us your story, including the names of alumni involved in the service activities. We want to promote all Day of Service projects and track all service hours conducted as part of the fourth annual Day of Service.
