2008 Day of Service projects included:

• City beautification of Mt. Airy, Germantown, Roxborough, Fairmount Park, East Falls, Philadelphia Zoo and Kensington
• Tutoring elementary school children
• Packaging food items at Philabundance
• “Greening” of the East Falls SEPTA train station
• Knitting and crocheting items for babies being treated at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
• Registering voters in East Falls and Germantown
• Sorting career clothing for women entering the workforce
• Interior Design students designed special rooms for three sick children in collaboration with the Make-A-Wish Foundation
• Architecture students built an interior ramp in the home of a wheelchair-bound man
• Architecture and Industrial Design students built a trench at the Weavers Way Farm
• Among many others
