The Billy Harris Scholarship fund has reached its $500,000 goal, making it the University’s largest endowed scholarship fund. The scholarship commemorates Billy Harris, a 1974 graduate and former director of alumni affairs and sports information and son of Bucky and Lorraine Harris.

In 1986, Billy succumbed to a courageous battle with leukemia. His parents initiated the scholarship fund the very next year. The Billy Harris Scholarship is awarded to students who excel in leadership, academics and athletics - all areas of importance in Billy’s life.
