There are many organizations you can join based on your professional experience and background. If you are a registered nurse or physician assistant you already probably belong to your professional association or should consider doing so.
Philadelphia University has a student chapter in the International Association of Emergency Managers. You can join the University's chapter for $30 per year. This is an important network to establish and has many resources that you can use as a student.
