defense. Disaster Medicine and
Management is part of the School of
Science and Health, which offers
quality educational programs in
science, mathematics, psychology and
the health sciences in full-time,
part-time, day, evening, weekend,
on-campus and distance-learning
formats. The School stresses the
practical application of current
scientific theory and the Physician
Assistant Studies Program has
specific expertise and faculty in
emergency medicine.

NETWORK
The Albert Einstein Healthcare
Network is a private, not-for-profit
organization with six major
facilities and many outpatient
centers. Albert Einstein Healthcare
Network’s primary mission is to
provide compassionate, high-quality
healthcare to the Greater
Philadelphia region. Albert Einstein
Healthcare Network is a leader in
medical education and operates over
25 residency and fellowship programs
for physicians, dentists,
pharmacists and physical therapists,
along with clinical rotations for
medical students, nursing students,
physician-assistant students and
others. The Department of Emergency
Medicine delivers state-of-the-art
emergency care at four locations,
operates a major Level I Regional
Resource Trauma Center and operates
one of the region’s largest
residency programs for
emergency-medicine physicians.
Albert Einstein Healthcare Network
also runs the region’s only
fellowship program for
emergency-medicine physicians in
disaster medicine and participates
in important medical research. The
Center for Special Operations
Training and Office of Weapons of
Mass Destruction Education is an
excellent regional resource for
education and consultation.
