Jatin S. Bains, President-CEO, Channel Logistics LLC (2000-08) has 30+ years experience in the Global maritime/shipping industry. In the mid 90’s he was President of Gulf & Orient Steamship Line Trading with Asia. Prior to that; he was CEO of East Coast Overseas, a Steamship Agency representing foreign Gov’t Steamship Lines of Pakistan, Algeria, Egypt, Thailand and Indonesia calling at US ports. In the late 1980’s he was President of Polar Steamship Line in the Middle East. In the 1970’s, Capt. Bains sailed on commercial ships in various capacities. He holds a Master's License and was issued USPTO Patent on eLogistics.

Post 9/11 Mr. Bains has served and chaired DOD working groups on Maritime Domain Awareness and has served as a DOS delegate to APEC 2006 on Maritime Security. He has published articles, spoken at numerous conferences and regularly provides FLAG officer level briefings on “Shipping as a Catalyst in Asymmetric Warfare”.
