Looking for any students who are in footwear design, are interested in footwear design or alumnae and teachers who are working in the field of footwear design who want to learn more about Italy and the manufacturing process there.
ANCI (or the Associazione Nazionale Calzaturifci Italiani) is hosting a seminar on December 3rd in New York City from 1 PM - 4 PM. It will include a catered lunch and opportunity to be entered fotr a trip for two to Milan. The seminar will cover making shoes in Italy and attendees will be able to interface directly with Italian footwear entepreneurs giving them a jump start on their careers or just fuel their learning for foorwear design, as well as give them the opportunity to create relationships in the Italian footwear manufacturing market, which as you know is often quite complex and challenging.
Very limited space is available and applications must be recived by November 13th, 2009.

The Safety Products Student Design Challenge is in its 7th year, encouraging post-secondary students in the pursuit of functional design for safety. This Challenge, juried by industry experts, is open to post-secondary students worldwide. Click here for entry information.
