On behalf of the First Year Experience program, we would like to thank you for your interest in the START Leader position. The START Leader position is an extremely important one, filled with many challenges and rewards.
Through the START position you will gain valuable experiences, build your resume, grow in your understanding of the complex issues that students are faced with, and learn more about yourself.
Please take a moment to conisder what you can bring to the position and what benefits you will gain from being a START Leader. The position can be challenging at times, with all the demands of prospective students looking to you for guidance and leadership. The most successful START Leaders are ones who truly value the experience of new students taking their first steps down a four-year or five-year path of enlightenment, self-discovery, and purpose. They take their responsibilities seriously, and meet each new challenge with a positive outlook and continuing enthusiasm.

Please note that a complete file including your application, a personal statement, and two references should be returned to Student Development Programs, located in the Kanbar Campus Center, suite 311 by Friday, Feb. 12, 2010 at 5pm. If your application is not complete, or if you fail to complete both an individual interview and a group process, you may be disqualified from the selection process.
