“GIS, 3D Modeling and Geodesign for Sustainable Design and Development”
The 5th Annual Geodesign Forum will take place at Jefferson University on Friday, October 6, 2017 and will focus on the role of geospatial technology and geodesign / 3D modeling in sustainable design and development. Featured presentations will include the Institute for Conscious Global Change (ICGC), an international NGO with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, and their efforts to help member nations meet the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) using geospatial. In addition, we will feature emerging geospatial and 3D modeling technology for sustainable design, Jefferson education and research efforts, and a notable student project. Speakers will include practitioners, educators, students, and thought leaders in GIS, Geodesign and Sustainable Design and Development.
This year’s Keynote Speaker will be Etta Jackson, Founder and CEO of the Institute for Conscious Global Change, an international NGO with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. Ms. Jackson will share her experience in working with the UN to help achieve the 2030 goals for sustainable development.
Continuing Education Credits
This half-day event carries 4 continuing education units for PA landscape architects and architects.
A networking social ‘Meet-Up’ will take place immediately following the event with complementary food and beverages. Parking is free. Come and see compelling examples of geodesign in action and network with your peers.
