Graduate Presentations

Graduate students are required to participate in a capstone, final project or course that often includes a formal oral presentation to the academic community. These events are open to all Philadelphia University community members and invited guests.

Some programs have a required dissertation or thesis, others have a master's or synthesis project. All represent a body of work that may span many semesters, sometimes years of work.

Doctoral and master’s candidate are responsible for scheduling a date and time for the dissertation or thesis defense with their Committee. With the approval of the Committee Chairperson, the candidate will secure the signatures of each Committee member and submit the defense form to the graduate dean at least seven (7) calendar days before the scheduled defense. A copy of the dissertation or thesis is to accompany this form.

Graduate students can click here to obtain the Schedule of Defense Form. Upon receipt of this form, the graduate dean will post the date, time and location of the thesis defense on this page.
